In this article, you will learn how to complete all sections of the Lists tab.
Please note: none of these fields are mandatory but can be helpful to categorize different areas of the delivery or pick-up cycle.
Overview:
- Shifts
- Item Types
- Dimensions
- Labels
- Skills
1. Shifts
Shifts allow you to separate tasks at the optimization level. A task in a morning shift won’t be optimized alongside a task in an evening shift.
The "time window start" of a task determines the shift the task will be in. Shifts are also used to configure vacation days and the schedules of your drivers.
Administration > Platform > General > Lists
The mandatory fields are:
- Name
- From
- To
To define driver schedules, navigate to:
Administration > Platform > Schedules
Here you can select and define their availability by selecting shifts and/or entering vacation days. These will be taken into account during the optimization.
2. Item Types
The Item types are the categories you choose to assign to your items. These are a free field but if creating a new Item Type (1), both name AND description become mandatory.
These can also be deleted at any time (4)
The item types created will feature here when creating new tasks:
3. Dimensions
These are specific to the task Items and here you are only setting the unit types used.
4. Labels
Labels allow you to define special types of tasks, such as tasks that require special vehicles for delivery (hot, frozen food, etc.).
To create new labels, simply type them in the blank field and press enter, spaces cannot be used in the naming format.
These Labels will appear as a dropdown when creating new tasks: Items > Click on the item
5. Skills
Some of your drivers may have skills that are required for specific tasks, generally, these will be linked to the type of vehicle they can handle. This is where your skills can be added.
These skills will appear as a dropdown when creating new tasks: Items > Click on the item
