GraphHopper is a backup optimization solution Urbantz uses in cases when our main optimization service becomes unavailable. Graphhopper is also the main optimizer used for specific platforms as its specifications adapt to certain customer needs.
GraphHopper restrictions
Maximum values allowed:
-
1000 tasks per optimization
-
100 rounds (vehicles) per optimization
-
200 stops per round
Advantages:
GraphHopper allows the optimization of different types of vehicles.
Example:
Limitations:
-
With GraphHopper, the start time can't be updated inside the Round Editor.
-
The max duration time of the fleet is not taken into account (only the travel time is taken into account).
-
Maximum 2 different types of vehicles are supported in an optimization.
-
The restricted areas are not taken into account.
-
The option of allowing the optimizer to "choose the best hub" is not supported.
Start time configuration using GraphHopper
- At the Optimization level: you can define the Start time via different options as shown in the picture below.
When you use Graphhopper the option "Start of time window" will not work.
You can configure the earliest start time but not the latest start time. This means that GraphHopper will only take into account the Start and not the End.
- At the Round Editor level: using GraphHopper won't allow you to change the Round Start time.
