Urbantz currently supports multiple optimizers, each designed to meet different operational needs.
Depending on your specific use case, your Customer Success Manager (CSM) can help you determine which optimizer is best suited for your operations.
Below, you’ll find a list of known limitations to take into account when using them.
ESRI
ESRI is one of Urbantz's main optimization service providers.
The algorithm it relies on comes with a set of constraints listed below.
Specifics/Limitations:
-
maximum 2000 tasks per optimization
-
maximum 100 rounds (= vehicles) per optimization
-
maximum 200 stops per round
- maximum 500 streets the line of the barrier can cross
- maximum 2000 streets inside the barrier
HERE
HERE is one of Urbantz's main optimization service providers.
The algorithm it relies on comes with a set of constraints listed below.
Specifics/Limitations:
-
maximum 6000 tasks per optimization
-
maximum 150 vehicles types per optimization
- maximum 350 rounds (for each vehicle type) per optimization
-
maximum 100 skills per round
- maximum 5 priorities (1 being the highest priority, 5 the lowest and default)
GRAPHHOPPER
Graphhopper is one of Urbantz's secondary optimization service providers.
The algorithm it relies on comes with a set of constraints listed below.
Specifics/Limitations:
-
maximum 1000 tasks per optimization
-
maximum 100 rounds (= vehicles) per optimization
-
maximum 200 stops per round
-
max duration limitation: only considers driving time, not total round duration (driving + service time)
-
start time configuration: cannot specify departure times in Round Editor
-
time window handling: "Start of time window" doesn't work - only takes earliest start time, not latest
-
maximum 2 different vehicle types per optimization
-
no "choose best hub" support
-
restricted areas not supported
-
no polygon barriers support
