Click & Collect allows you to deliver packages to designated collection points instead of directly to customers. The recipient can then pick up their package at their convenience from the collection point.
Understanding Click & Collect Tasks
When you receive a Click & Collect task, you'll notice it's different from regular deliveries:
- The destination address will be a collection point (store, pickup location) rather than the customer's home
- Instead of "delivering" the package, you'll be "dropping off" the package at the collection point
Step-by-Step Process
1. Starting Your Round
- Open the Urbantz mobile app and log in
- Select your assigned round
- Tap "Start Round" to begin
2. Navigating to the Collection Point
- Follow the provided address to the designated collection point
- Use the integrated navigation (Waze, Google Maps) to reach the collection point address
- The collection point address will be clearly displayed in your task details
3. Dropping Off the Package
- When you arrive at the collection point, select "Drop Off"
- Complete any required actions as configured in your flow:
- Scan package barcodes if required
- Take photos as proof of drop-off
- Collect signatures from the collection point staff
- Fill in any required notes if requested
4. Completing the Task
- Once all requirements are fulfilled, mark the task as completed
- The package status will change to "Ready to Collect"
- The collection point manager will handle the final delivery to the customer
Important Notes
- Failed Drop-offs: If you cannot complete the drop-off, mark it as "Delivery Failed" and select the appropriate reason
- Requirements: Each Click & Collect flow may have different requirements (photos, signatures, scans) - follow the prompts in your app
- Collection Point Hours: Ensure you arrive during the collection point's operating hours
- Communication: The collection point staff should be expecting your delivery. Contact them if there are any issues
Conclusion
The Click & Collect process streamlines deliveries by consolidating multiple packages at convenient pickup locations, making it easier for both drivers and customers while reducing failed delivery attempts.
