What is a printing template?

The printing templates are HTML templates used to render pages that can be printed. These pages will load tasks, rounds or ticket information, depending on the context.

 

How can they be generated?

Printing templates can be generated from the UI (by clicking on the PRINT button) or via email notifications as attachments.

 

Types of printing templates

  • task printing template: the document can be printed from the task detail (button "Print" is available). Examples of documents can be delivery labels or customer invoices.

  • tasks printing template: the print button appears in the task list. The document groups multiple tasks.

  • round printing template: the document can be printed for the whole round (the button appears in round details).

  • An example of a document can be the so-called "Routing Sheet" printed by dispatchers for the drivers with the summary of the rounds for the day, as a backup solution in case there are issues with the app.
  • ticket printing template

  • delivery printing template: the document can be printed for a specific task when it's been delivered. So it is similar to the task printing template but specifically for delivery completed.

    An example of this document is the Proof of Delivery (PoD), which can be generated:

    • manually from the Task details, via the PRINT button
    • automatically, if the toggle "Tasks automatically generate a delivery note" is ON (so it will be visible to dispatchers)
  • Automatically if it is used as an attachment in email notifications triggered by the event "Notify consumer when the task has been successfully completed".

 

Default printing templates

Default templates are available only to Ubantz users

  • What is the procedure to customise the delivery notes and the round note (the pdf with all the tasks per round)? 

This is handled as a Task Printing Template (Admin > Printing Template).

  1. The customer has to specify their requirements:
    • data to be displayed
    • layout
    • details of each field with the mapping 
  2. They raise this request to their dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) or to customer-success@urbantz.com

  • Is it possible to automatically send a printing template by email?

    Yes, in the HTML code

  • Is it possible to configure the delivery notes by sender?

    No. There is a workaround only for delivery templates: Printing template at the sender level

  • Is it possible to set up printing templates in the sender portal?

    No, that is not possible
