1. Error display
When Urbantz displays an error, this is where you will find it along with the link to fix it. Geocoding and validation errors are displayed on the Announcements page.
There are filters to adjust your view (see below):
2. Geocoding
a. Geocoding Process
When you announce tasks in Urbantz, this is what happens:
1- all geocoding partners enabled in the flow are used to geocode the address; each one returns a location with a "geocoding score" attached. We then choose the one with the highest score.
2- Any address used is then automatically saved as a pair, together with the announced address, in the address book if their "geocoding score" is higher than the minimum geocoding threshold that was defined in the flow.
3- When the address pairs are saved in the address book, their original score is also saved: this is the reason why the addresses extracted from the address book can have different geocoding scores in the task details; following tasks announced with the same address will keep displaying the same original trust score as provided in the first and only geocoding of that address.
4- Pairs of addresses can also be manually created in the address book when you are asked to correct a geocoding error, during the announcement phase.
b. Geocoding Errors
Any geocoding score below the minimum threshold that you have configured (the default confidence threshold is 80%) will result in a geocoding error. These have to be manually corrected, by clicking on the orange "X Geocoding" button (see screenshot below).
In the next screen, either accept Urbantz' suggestion or look up the correct address in the search bar.
To view all addresses that have been successfully geocoded in the past, open the Address Book via Administration > Address Book.
ℹ️ You can also copy-paste the coordinates of a location straight into the search bar.
3. Validation errors
Validation errors indicate that the information you uploaded to Urbantz has created a conflict with one of the platform settings enabled. The task will stay in progress “announced” instead of “ready”.
Click on the "X Validation" button for details:
There is one line per task, with the error. Clicking on the line will open the task details and allow you to correct the error. If you prefer, you can also discard the task and re-announce it with the correct information.
