1. The role of raw tracking

The raw tracking option is available when navigating to the details section of any round:

Select Round > Map >View > Raw tracking

“Raw tracking” on a round is there to display which route the driver actually takes in real-time. It is visible on the round Map view on the web.

2. Raw tracking troubleshooting

There are times when instead of a realistic path on the map, the raw tracking will present a bird eye view of paths as below:

When such a display of data is experienced please note the potential reasons below:

GPS location turned off
Low-quality network connection (could be influenced by extremely crowded spots in a city or low network coverage in remote areas)
Low-quality GPS module in a device (especially on cheap units)
Other apps/services on the device that disrupt GPS tracking (for example, devices with aggressive power-saving policies or other “cleaning” apps)
GPS signal disturbed by bodies of water, dense forests, underground tunnels, or tall buildings
