Why would I want to change the Carrier of a Task?
There are several scenarios where you might need to change a task's carrier assignment:
- Incorrect initial assignment: A task may have been automatically assigned to the wrong carrier due to misconfigured allocation rules
- Operational changes: Business requirements or capacity constraints may require reassigning tasks to different carriers
- Carrier availability: The originally assigned carrier may become unavailable or experience service disruptions
-
Performance optimization: You may want to redistribute tasks to balance workloads or improve delivery efficiency
Common causes of incorrect carrier assignments:
- Misconfigured carrier allocation rules in Admin settings
- Overlapping or conflicting assignment criteria
- Outdated carrier capacity or coverage information
-
Manual errors during task creation
If one needs to change the associated carrier, this can be done in 2 ways:
- as a singular action - one task
- as a bulk action - multiple tasks
